Spend a Day at the Resorts

Disney is obviously known for its rides and attractions, there are plenty of things to do at Disney World besides the parks. The resorts are just as fun! With well-thought-out themes and lots of activities to enjoy over an extended stay, you’ll never be bored.

To counter the potential exhaustion from consecutive park days, we suggest incorporating a “resort day” midway through your trip. This allows for a slower pace, providing the perfect opportunity to recharge and appreciate the delights offered by Disney’s resorts.

With over 25 official park hotels each with their own unique twist, there are so many things to do at Disney World resorts. From lounging by the best pools in Florida to golfing at top-notch courses, these resorts have activities for all ages. Keep reading to discover all of the best things to do at Disney World Resorts.

Enjoy Golfing at Disney World

Indulge in a golfer’s paradise at the Walt Disney World® resorts, where a world-class golfing experience awaits players of all skill levels. There are four courses, including Disney’s Palm, Lake Buena Vista, Oak Trail, and Magnolia. Guests can revel in the picturesque landscapes and expertly crafted layouts that make each round memorable.

From the challenging terrains of the Palm and Magnolia courses to the family-friendly Oak Trail course, there’s a course suited for every golfer. Whether you’re perfecting your swing or enjoying a leisurely game, these courses promise an unforgettable day on the links.

While there’s debate over the best Disney course, the Palm garnered a four-star rating from Golf Digest. It is a championship course with plenty of water hazards and 59 bunkers throughout the course. Moreover, the Palm offers a wealth of challenges for both novice players and seasoned pros.

Three out of the four courses—Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista— have hosted a Disney PGA Tour tournament. So, we encourage golf enthusiasts to take a break from the theme parks and indulge in a round at Disney’s premier courses.

Lounge by the Pool

Every Disney Resort features a pool, so there’s no excuse to not take a dip while you’re on vacation! Moreover, lounging by one of Disney’s many resort pools is a great way to relax from the hustle and bustle of theme park hopping.

Whether sunbathing or swimming, Disney’s pools guarantee family fun. Maintained at a comfortable 82 degrees year-round, they’re the perfect off-day activity.
